Disaster Response: Ramadan without Hunger
Summary
Honor the Spirit of Ramadan: Feed a Family in Need Ramadan is a time of compassion and generosity, yet for displaced families in Sudan, hunger and fear overshadow this sacred month. Forced to flee RSF attacks, thousands now struggle in Zamzam Camp and farmlands, with El Fasher under siege. They have no food, water, or shelter. Your kindness can rescue them-provide food, restore dignity, and bring hope. Will you answer their call?
Challenge
Ramadan is a time of reflection, gratitude, and shared meals-but for thousands of displaced families in Sudan, it is another month of hunger, uncertainty, and survival. After weeks of fasting from dawn to dusk, the joy of breaking fast should be a moment of relief. Yet, for families torn from their homes by war, the struggle to find food and water continues beyond sunset. Many are left with nothing to sustain them through Ramadan and beyond.
Solution
This project ensures that displaced families in Sudan can break their fast with dignity this Ramadan. While Ramadan is a time of reflection and generosity, thousands in El Fasher face severe food insecurity, struggling to find even the most basic necessities. Through nutritious food packages, we provide essential items like sugar, millet dough with sauce, dates, beans, salt, and water to sustain families throughout the month.
Long-Term Impact
Breaking the Cycle of Hunger & Building Resilience This project provides immediate relief while creating lasting change for displaced families in Sudan. With consistent nourishment, families can rebuild their lives, children grow healthier, and communities move toward stability and self-sufficiency. Beyond urgent aid, we work to support recovery, resilience, and independence, ensuring families thrive beyond crisis. Food today means a stronger future tomorrow.
